Cell Culture & Tissue Engineering Laboratory Portfolio
Overview
This project involved hands-on laboratory work in cell culturing and introductory tissue engineering techniques, conducted within a CL2 biosafety laboratory environment. The work focused on developing practical competence in live cell handling, microscopy and experimental analysis across multiple biological systems.
Experiments emphasized proper laboratory technique, data-driven observation and clear technical documentation; forming a foundational skill set for biomedical research and wet-lab engineering applications.
To illustrate the scope and quality of the laboratory work, a representative lab report is provided below as a sample of experimental execution, data analysis and technical documentation.
Project Type: Academic Laboratory Portfolio
Duration: 4 months (One academic term)
Environment: CL2 Wet Laboratory
Focus Areas: Cell Culture · Microscopy · Biomaterials · Experimental Analysis
Role: Experimental execution, data analysis and technical reporting
Experimental Scope
Over the duration of the course, multiple structured laboratory experiments were conducted to investigate cellular structure, function and behaviour under varying experimental conditions, including:
- Optical microscopy and cellular morphology analysis
- Membrane permeability and transport behavior
- Cytoskeletal structure and function
- Phagocytosis and cellular uptake mechanisms
- Yeast cell cycle observation and analysis
Each experiment required controlled preparation, observation and post-experiment data interpretation.
